Project Design Stage

Managing design coordination to ensure all disciplines deliver quality drawings on time, aligned with project requirements.

About This Stage

This is the second stage in managing the project. A construction project comprises a number of disciplines – civil, electrical, air conditioning, plumbing, fire protection, landscape, interior design and so on. During the design stage, we ensure smooth coordination between all designing agencies to ensure the required drawings meeting customer requirements are produced in a timely and orderly manner.

We also review the drawings vis-à-vis constructability to ensure that they can be translated into end products that meet customer requirements. We make suggestions on use of alternative materials to ensure cost-effective execution.

We use a rigorous process to keep track of changes, ensuring that design alterations are properly vetted, approved, and communicated to all team members.

What We Do in This Stage

  • Coordinating between all design disciplines (civil, MEP, interiors, landscape)
  • Ensuring timely delivery of design drawings per agreed schedule
  • Reviewing drawings for constructability and compliance
  • Suggesting value engineering alternatives for cost efficiency
  • Managing design change requests through a formal process
  • Evaluating and recommending alternative design solutions
  • Tracking design deliverables and milestones
